# Thorchain API

The THORChain API exposes protocol‑level views of pools, swaps, network health and routing logic in a compact, application‑friendly format. Responses are shaped for front‑ends and services that need current liquidity depths, fees, and inbound/outbound addresses without speaking to a node directly. It is the primary surface developers use to build dashboards, wallets, and swap flows on top of THORChain data.
