# Sonic

Sonic is an **EVM** network geared toward consumer applications and real‑time experiences like gaming. Use it when you need quick confirmations and inexpensive interactions without leaving the EVM developer comfort zone. As always for high‑volume games, size your indexers and event pipelines to absorb bursty traffic.
