# Sei

Sei is a Cosmos L1 optimized for trading with parallelized execution and consensus tweaks that reduce contention. **Sei v2** introduces an **EVM layer**, allowing Solidity dApps to deploy while preserving Sei’s performance characteristics. Choose CosmWasm or EVM based on your codebase; both benefit from IBC routing. Production setups typically run both Tendermint RPC/gRPC for Cosmos features and EVM JSON‑RPC for Solidity apps.
