# Scroll

Scroll is a **zkEVM** rollup targeting close EVM equivalence for straightforward migrations from Ethereum. Developers keep their existing JSON‑RPC workflows, testing and deployment scripts, and typically only adjust for environment URLs and chain IDs. Choose Scroll when bytecode and semantics parity with Ethereum are a priority while still wanting validity‑proof security.
