# Mantle

Mantle is a modular **EVM L2** that lowers fees by separating data availability (via Mantle DA / EigenDA‑style layers) from execution while settling on Ethereum. From an app perspective, the developer experience remains standard EVM/JSON‑RPC. Verify your observability around the DA layer for production SLAs and incident response, especially for latency expectations during high load.
