# Linea

Linea is ConsenSys’ **zkEVM** L2 that integrates tightly with MetaMask, Infura, and mainstream Solidity tooling. Validity proofs secure execution on Ethereum while costs remain low for users. Deployment and debugging feel familiar to EVM developers, and the public **Linea Sepolia** mirrors mainnet behavior for CI pipelines and staging. For time‑critical settlement or off‑chain accounting, plan around the schedule of proof submissions to L1.
