# Kaia (formerly Klaytn)

Kaia is the evolution of Klaytn, delivered via a rebrand/hard‑fork that preserved its **EVM compatibility** and enterprise‑friendly performance profile. It targets consumer and business dApps that need **fast finality** and low‑latency confirmations while remaining compatible with standard Ethereum JSON‑RPC and tooling (ethers/viem/Hardhat/Foundry).
