# DYDX

The dYdX chain is a dedicated Cosmos app‑chain for **perpetuals**. It combines a decentralized orderbook and matching engine with IBC interoperability. Development involves Tendermint RPC for chain data, gRPC/REST for modules, and specialized indexers for market streams. It’s purpose‑built for trading use cases where latency and determinism matter.
