# BNB Chain

BNB Smart Chain (BSC) is a high‑throughput **EVM** chain widely used for DeFi, gaming, and NFT marketplaces. Tooling and JSON‑RPC behave like Ethereum, and most Solidity apps deploy without change. For production, prefer dedicated/private RPCs and plan rate‑limit‑aware indexers given the network’s heavy on‑chain activity.
